Susan’s content is Susan’s content

SUSAN’S CONTENT IS SUSAN’S CONTENT

What does that mean? Well, it covers a few areas, and because they are important to me in different ways, I’m putting this note out from me, Susan, the person behind SMART IN PLANNING.

1. ORIGINAL

My content is original, based on my deep and unique experience, gained throughout my 30 year career in Merchandise Planning.

It’s personal, credible, and backed by a track record of doing planning, leading planning, evolving planning, building planning teams, and working with literally 100's of Retail businesses.

2. AUTHENTIC

My content is not AI-generated filler, marketing spin, generalist Retail opinion, or crafted to appeal to an attractive niche while lacking actual expertise.

My messages, my thoughts, my concepts, my translation, my interpretation, my experiences, my creativity.

My hashtags to describe this: #authenticintelligence #artisanalintelligence

I think deeply on my messages, playing around with ideas, and coming back even years later to finally publish them. In fact, the inspiration and thought processes behind content that I’m posting now was often first drafted long ago (2014-2019).

To clarify, I’m not anti-AI. I love tech, efficiency and productivity. I also think that if you want to hear from me, then you expect it will actually be from me. This matches with my definition of integrity being when the head, heart and hands are aligned.

3. PROTECTED

My content is subject to copyright.

Merchandise Planning is my passion. I started SMART IN PLANNING with a vision to “change the face of planning”, elevating its profile and releasing its true potential. I achieve this in part by sharing my experiences, insights, and ideas through my content, tools and resources.

Whether shared through social media, blogs, videos, YouTube, keynotes and presentations, our training, The Planning POD or other channels, there are simple rules that outline the fair and responsible use of my content.
